Symptom: Excessive black smoke at full load (Hot, unburned fuel)
- Dirty primary or secondary air cleaner
- Overloading
- Overfueling
- Operating in a gear that is too high
- Faulty turbocharger
Symptom: Blue smoke (indicates oil consumption)
- Leaking head gasket
- Cracked head and/or liners
